【Important】Application for Student Emergency Aid for Continuance of Studies (For Residence Card holders)

University of Tsukuba will accept applications for the government’s emergency aid. This subsidy is for students having financial difficulties to continue study/research due to the COVID-19 pandemic as the last year. For eligibilities and criteria, refer to the Application Guide.
Note that MEXT scholarship recipients, fellows of JSPS and SPRING are not eligible at University of Tsukuba.
The following information is for “student” Residence Card holders. If you are a Japanese national or have a Residence Card of another visa status, contact Division of Student Welfare.

100,000 yen

APPLICATION METHOD

Fill out the documents 1-3 listed below at “REQUIRED DOCUMENTS” and submit them with a copy of the bankbook in person to Student Commons.
Only those who cannot come directly to the office may send applications by mail. Please send by registered mail.

PLACE AND PERIOD OF APPLICATION

In person: Student Commons (2nd Floor of 1A- Building)
From 9:00 am, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 to 5:00 pm, Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
The office is open on weekdays from 9:00-12:15, 13:15-17:00.

By mail: Mails should be postmarked by Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1. Application Form (FORM 1)
2. Oath (FORM 2)
3. CHECKLIST (APPLICATION DOCUMENTS CHECKLIST for Student Emergency Aid for Continuance of Studies)
4. A copy of the bankbook (the page that indicates your name and the bank account)

NOTE: Fill out the forms by typing except for signatures.

IMPORTANT NOTES

-We will not be able to reply to your messages or questions during the year-end and the New Year holiday closure from December 29 to January 3.
-Not all applicants will be able to receive subsidies due to the limitation of the financial resource.
