RECYCLING PROJECT! Collection at Student Commons (1A203) and Division of Student Exchange (1A101)

Student Support Center Office is organizing the “Student Commons’ SDGs RECYCLING PROJECT” to contribute to the SDGs by making use of the Student Commons (1A203), a space for students to interact with each other.

Through this project, we will collect ‘still-useable and unused items’ from July to September, then we will give them away for free to all students, including new students as the new semester starts.

*Acceptable items are those which are still usable and can be re-used by other students! (see details below)
*Only members of University of Tsukuba are allowed to participate (students, researchers, faculty staff).


★ Item Collection

Scheduled Time: 10:00-16:00 (business days only)
Scheduled Date:
①July 10th (Wed.) – July 31st (Wed.)
②August 1st (Thu.) – 9th (Fri.) & 19th(Mon.) – 30th(Fri.) ※12:15-13:15 Lunch Break
*The collection period may end earlier than expected if we received too many items.

②Division of Student Exchange (1A101)

Collection Rules:
(1) Give the items for free
(2) Sign the 「ownership waiver letter」 to proof your consent (available in front desk)
(3) Show us your student ID (or any personal identification)
(4) Dirty and broken items are unacceptable

Items we accept…
Clean items with any side (length, width, height) are less than 50cm.
E.g.: Household goods (tableware, cutlery, pots, frying pans, kettles, kitchen tools, etc.), interior goods, laundry products, towels, curtains, extension cords, small shelves, electrical appliances (microwaves, toasters, electric kettles, stationery, rice cookers, hair dryer, iron, etc.), books (with no handwritings).

Items we don’t accept…
Clean items with any side (length, width or height) are larger than 50cm and any items with expiration date.
E.g.: Large household goods (refrigerators, air conditioners, TVs, personal computers, washing machines), furniture (desks, chairs, large shelves), clothing, food, and other heavily soiled or damaged items.
