We’re happy to announce that the popular Tsukuba × Latin America Online Exchange Program will be held again this year!
This event is organized by the Tsukuba Trans-Pacific Program (TTPP). You will join a small group (5–6 students) and have discussions with students from Latin America. On the last day, each group will give a short presentation.
If you’re not sure about joining — “Can I really join?” or “I don’t know much about Latin America…” — don’t worry! Many students feel nervous at first, but in the end, they say “It was fun!” During summer break, let’s connect with students from Latin America, learn about different cultures, and expand your world! This is a popular event, so please apply early!
Tsukuba × Latin America Online Exchange Program 2025
【Dates】
September 24 (Wed), 25 (Thu), and 26 (Fri), 2025
8:00–10:00 AM (Japanese Standard Time)
**We ask you to join all 3 days. If that is difficult, please write in the comment section of the form.
【Purpose】
・To interact with students from Latin American universities
・To promote language and cultural exchange and broaden horizons
・To discuss common issues in English
【Program Details】
・Self-introduction and free talk in each group (Many Latin American students are interested in Japan! Please share about Japanese culture or what you’re into!)
・Group discussion on a topic (You will decide one main idea in the group and prepare a short presentation together. Don’t worry—it’s not too difficult!)
・Final group presentation and Q&A

What Can We Do as University Students?
・Climate Action Starts on Campus
・Living Together in a Multicultural University
**You don’t need to know a lot about the topic now. You will learn together in the group!
【Who Can Join?】
Undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Tsukuba, who can communicate in basic English (You don’t need to be fluent!)
