Experience the Spirit of Japanese Summer in a Yukata!
We will hold a fun event, “Join! YUKATA WEEK”, mainly for international students at the University of Tsukuba! It will take place from Monday, June 9 to Friday, June 13, 2025.
Have you ever wanted to try wearing a yukata but didn’t have your own or didn’t know how to wear one? No worries — the friendly SSC staff will dress you up in a beautiful yukata. We have a variety of stylish designs ready for you. Join the event and make a special memory of Japanese summer!
★Event Details
【Date】Monday, June 9 to Friday, June 13, 2025 (5 days)
【What’s in the event?】Our SSC female staff will help you dress up in a yukata. Once you’re all dressed up, feel free to go out, take photos, or just enjoy the moment however you like.
★Who Can Join
International students enrolled at the University of Tsukuba

本イベントは留学生向けの日本文化イベントのため、留学生を優先的に選ばせていただきますことをご了承ください。
なお、ご自身で浴衣や甚平を着てイベントに参加（浴衣を着付けした留学生の友だちと一緒に写真を撮ったりキャンパス内を歩いたりして）いただくことは可能です（ウェルカムです！）。
★Schedule
13:45 – Yukata dressing starts (Please come to the Student Support Center Office, 1A101 by 13:45)
16:00~16:30 – Yukata return time (Please come back during this time)
※If this schedule doesn’t work for you, unfortunately, you won’t be able to participate this time.
★Capacity
4 participants per day
※Due to the limited number of men’s yukata, only 1 male participant per day will be accepted.
★Important Notes
● We’re accepting only 20 participants in total, so please apply only if you are certain you can attend. As we are not planning to accept cancellations, make sure to check your schedule before applying.
● Please note that the number of yukata is limited, so the size or design may not match your preference.
● Since you’ll be borrowing a yukata, please take care not to get it dirty or damaged. We also ask that you wear a T-shirt underneath the yukata.
● We may take photos and videos during the event. These may be used for publicity purposes by the University of Tsukuba, such as on our website, social media, or in printed materials. If you have any concerns about being photographed or recorded, please let us know in advance.
