English Chat と Multilingual Chatの２つのチャットイベントを、曜日を分けて開催しています。
どちらの回も少人数のグループに分かれて楽しく会話を行います。

※ 本イベントは語学レッスンではありません。外国語でのコミュニケーションを通して、国際交流や異文化理解を楽しむためのイベントです。
※ Multilingual Chatでは、さまざまな言語のテーブルをご用意していますので、お好きな言語を選んでご参加いただけます！ 日本語、フランス語、スペイン語のテーブルは基本的に毎回開催しています。韓国語、中国語、ポルトガル語、アラビア語のテーブルは当日のスタッフ配置に応じて開設します。

Want to chat casually in English or Japanese?
Interested in exploring different languages and cultures?
Then our Chat Event is just for you!
No matter your language level, you’re more than welcome to join.
First-time participants, one-time visitors, and those joining midway are all welcome. Come and enjoy chatting with us!
We host two chat events, English Chat and Multilingual Chat. At both events, participants are divided into small groups and enjoy friendly conversations in a relaxed atmosphere.
★ Everyone is Welcome!
Beginners, those with little language-learning experience, and anyone who is not confident in their language skills are all welcome!
First-time participants and those attending on their own are especially encouraged to join.
★ Beginner-Friendly Tables Available
We always provide beginner-friendly tables. Even if you’re not confident in your language skills, that’s perfectly okay! Through games and conversation, you can enjoy interacting with others while experiencing different languages and cultures.
★ Join or Leave Anytime
You are welcome to arrive late or leave early according to your schedule.

When: Every Tuesday and Thursday
Time: 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM
◆ Multilingual Chat ◆
When: Every Wednesday and Friday
Time: 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM
At Multilingual Chat, you are free to choose any language tables that interests you.
Japanese, French, and Spanish tables are generally available at every session. Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, and Arabic may be offered depending on staff availability.
Please note: This is not a language class. It is an opportunity to enjoy international exchange and intercultural communication through conversations in different languages.
* At Multilingual Chat, you can choose from a variety of language tables according to your interests. Japanese, French, and Spanish tables are available at almost every session. Other language tables, such as Korean, Chinese, Portuguese, and Arabic, may be available depending on staff availability.

Q 1 チャットイベントとは何ですか？
チャットイベントは、スチューデントコモンズ（1A203）で開催している、筑波大学の学生を対象とした言語・文化交流イベントです。英語をはじめとするさまざまな言語で、気軽に会話や交流を楽しむことができます。
What is the Chat Event?
The Chat Event is a language and cultural exchange program for the University of Tsukuba students, held at the Student Commons (1A203). Participants can enjoy casual conversations and cultural exchange in various languages, including English and many others.
Q 2 誰でも参加できますか？
筑波大学の学生であれば、どなたでも参加できます。学群生・大学院生、留学生・日本人学生を問わず歓迎します。学生証の提示が必要ですので、ご持参ください。
Who can participate?
Any University of Tsukuba student is welcome to join, including undergraduate and graduate students, international students, and Japanese students. Please bring your student ID card, as it is required for participation.
Q 3 学外の人も参加できますか？
申し訳ありませんが、チャットイベントは筑波大学の学生を対象としているため、学外の方はご参加いただけません。
Can people from outside the university participate?
We are sorry, but the Chat Event is open only to University of Tsukuba students. Visitors from outside the university are not eligible to participate.
Q 4 事前申込みは必要ですか？
事前申込みは不要です。開催時間内であれば、好きな時間に参加・退出できます。
Do I need to register in advance?
No advance registration is required. You are free to join and leave at any time during the event hours.
Q 5 英語が苦手でも参加できますか？
もちろんです。語学力は問いません。間違いを気にせず、楽しく会話することを大切にしています。初心者の方も大歓迎です。
Can I participate even if my English is not very good?
Absolutely! No specific language proficiency is required. We encourage everyone to enjoy communicating without worrying about making mistakes. Beginners are always welcome.

英語、日本語、フランス語、スペイン語、韓国語などのテーブルを用意しています。

What languages are available?
We offer language tables in English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Korean, and other languages.
As the available tables vary from day to day, please check our Instagram page or the whiteboard at the entrance to the Student Commons (1A203) for details on the day’s schedule.

いいえ。日本人学生と留学生の両方を対象とした交流イベントです。
Is this event only for international students?
No. The Chat Event is designed for both Japanese and international students to interact and learn from one another.

Can I work as a staff member?
