Short Term Exchange Program

Short term students are expected to participate in the activities prepared by the University of Tsukuba as a special program.
Students who attend all sessions will receive a certificate of participation.

Please check the Schedule of Activities (2018) for reference information about the exchange (schedule of orientations, classes, visits, etc.)

Summer Program 2019:
July 3 – 19, 2019 (Yet subject to modification)

Application package:
Please, before submission, consult the International Exchange Office in your University of origin


Eligibility for JASSO Scholarships:
We have a limited number of JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization) scholarships for supporting foreign students.
Please, check your eligibility by using the Excel tables of conversion depending on your home university
(COLMEX, GUADALAJARA, UNIANDES, PUCP, UCHILE, USP).
The minimum criteria is 2.3 in JASSO scale. All applicants are required to test their eligibility before applying.

1. Application Form Short Term (check the sample)
2. Application Checklist
3. Motivation Letter for participation in the program (free format)
4. ONE picture (copies or printings not accepted)
5. Official Transcript of Academic records (English Translations)
6. Copy of valid passport (of the ID page)


Required documents for other short term applications (Module C and Short term research programs)*:
1. Application Form Short Term (check the sample)
2. Application Checklist
3. Motivation Letter for participation in the program (free format)
4. ONE picture (copies or printings not accepted)
5. Official Transcript of Academic records (English Translations)
6. Letter of recommendation (check the sample)
7. Copy of valid passport (of the ID page)


*Original documents are required for completion of the application process.

**Short term students can also apply for research periods of up to 3 months as Research Exchange Student.
These cases will be discussed in individual bases according to the interest of the student and the Academic Advisor.
